Hermine Brunner, MD, MSc, MBA, is a pediatric rheumatologist with a special clinical and research interest in lupus. Her research is focused on biomarker discovery and the testing of new medications for lupus. As the Scientific Director and Chairperson elect of the Pediatric Rheumatology Collaborative Study Group (PRCSG; www.prcsg.org) she is involved in clinical trial designs for lupus and lupus nephritis in children. She directs the Cincinnati Lupus Center and is a member of the Pediatric Rheumatology Clinical Improvement Network Lupus Working Group which aims to improve the quality of medical care of children with lupus. She also pioneers the development of outcome measures and improving the quality of clinical of children with lupus and other pediatric rheumatic diseases.
